Dev Patel founded Veltiste Wellness in 2017 with a dedication to high quality flower, operational efficiency, and strategic real estate acquisitions. Dev has self-funded and operated a 160 acre outdoor cultivation facility in Humboldt County for over 3 years. Under his leadership, the average strain from the 2020 harvest tested above 30 percent THC. Dev has over 8 years of experience in the legal cannabis space with over 12 years of R&D experience in opioid replacement and pain management. With his background in real estate development, he has sourced over 200 properties for cultivation, processing, and retail in California, Michigan, and Illinois. Dev’s cultivation and development team have built out over 1 million sq/ft of indoor licensed cultivation, including the current build out of their 175,000 sq/ft flagship cultivation and processing facility in Michigan. Dev is METRC certified and is currently building out 3 dispensaries in Michigan and was awarded an Illinois dispensary license in Chicago. Dev is the founder and CEO of 4 successful companies and has an Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with a focus on Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Dev is the former board member of Make-A-Wish Illinois and actively donates to the American Red Cross, Wings, and the Salvation Army.
